Byron Goff, Founder

Byron was a two-time All-State and two-time all-American volleyball player. Byron earned a four-year volleyball scholarship to Rutgers University (Newark) and started at the outside hitter position all four years. Byron started playing volleyball at Richmond Volleyball Club (Richmond, VA) in 8th grade and traveled nationally through out high school on his club teams. Byron has been an evaluator for USA Volleyball’s HP program for 2 years and holds CAP I and II coaching certificates through USA Volleyball’s coaching accreditation program. Byron is going on his fourth year as the head boy’s volleyball coach at Viewpoint School in Calabasas, CA. Byron is also the owner of Westlake Volleyball Club (girls volleyball club) run out of Thousand Oaks, CA.

In addition to his coaching certifications, Byron has training in several youth development areas including child development, preventative discipline strategies, professionalism and ethics, and counseling basics. Byron is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and an adult member of USA Volleyball. Byron is ready to pass his volley knowledge to youth in hopes of sparking interest in staying active in the sport of volleyball for life. Byron contributes to passion for the sport to his father, David Goff Sr. and to the many coaches and parents who helped guide and mentor him through out his playing career.
